Giving Thanks…for Thanksgiving Cocktails
Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, pumpkin pie - food traditionally takes center stage on Thanksgiving. While we all look forward to a delicious meal and time spent with family and friends, there are plenty of ways to include fall’s favorite flavors in your beverages. From pumpkin spice to cranberry sauce, you can put a Thanksgiving twist to perfect just about any classic cocktail.

Apple Cider Mimosas
Hosting a Thanksgiving brunch? Kick off your holiday by creating an apple cider twist on the traditional mimosa. They’re as pretty as they are tasty.
Ingredients (for four cocktails)
1 cup apple cider
1 (750-ml.) bottle of prosecco or Champagne
2 tbsp granulated sugar
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
Directions
On a small plate, combine sugar and cinnamon. Dip champagne flutes in water to wet the rims, then dip in cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Fill champagne flutes ¼ full with apple cider, then top off with champagne or prosecco.
Wild Turkey Cocktail
The traditional Butterball shouldn’t be the only turkey on the table this year! With a blend of Wild Turkey American Honey whiskey, cloves, cranberry sauce, and oranges, this cocktail will warm you up like sitting in front of a cozy fire.
Ingredients (for eight cocktails)
4 cups apple juice
4 cinnamon sticks
1 tablespoon whole cloves
Zest from half an orange
12 ounces Wild Turkey American Honey
8 teaspoons cranberry sauce
24 cranberries (for garnish)
8 orange slices (for garnish)
Directions
In a medium saucepan, bring apple juice to a simmer. Add cinnamon, cloves, and orange zest; simmer for 5 minutes.
While simmering, add 1-½ ounces Wild Turkey American Honey to 8 individual glasses.
Strain apple cider through a fine sieve into glasses, add a teaspoon of cranberry sauce, and stir.
Garnish with cranberries and an orange slice.
Red Nose Punch
This isn’t your grandmother’s cranberry sauce! Beer and bourbon partner to create a tart and tangy festive punch, delicately spiced with cinnamon-infused simple syrup.
Ingredients (for three quarts)
28 ounces cranberry juice
2 cups fresh cranberries
8 ounces bourbon
4 ounces fresh lime juice
3 ounces cinnamon-infused simple syrup
4 (12-ounces) bottles, lager beer
3 limes, sliced
For cinnamon-infused simple syrup, bring 1 cup sugar, 4 sticks cinnamon, 1⁄2 vanilla bean (split, seeds ), and 1 cup water to a boil in a 2-qt. saucepan. Cook briefly to dissolve sugar, cool, and then strain into an airtight container.
Directions
Place cranberries in a bundt pan. Pour 4 cups of hot water over cranberries; freeze until set (the hot water will freeze clear), about 2 hours.
Combine juices, bourbon, and simple syrup in a large punch bowl; stir to combine.
Unmold frozen ice ring and float in punch; top with beer and sliced limes.
Pumpkin Martini
What’s Thanksgiving without a pumpkin-inspired cocktail? This fall-inspired martini tastes like your pumpkin pie in a chilled glass! Sweet and rich with nuances of pumpkin and cinnamon, it’s cozy, full of flavor, and perfect for all your holiday gatherings!
Ingredients (for one cocktail)
2 ounces vanilla vodka
½ ounce cream liqueur
½ ounce pumpkin liqueur
1 teaspoon whipped cream for optional garnish
Cinnamon stick, for garnish
Directions
In a cocktail shaker, add the vodka and cream liqueur; fill with ice and shake well.
Add the pumpkin liqueur; shake again.
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Top with a teaspoon of whipped cream (optional), garnish with a cinnamon stick.
